Toughened Float Glass is a versatile glass predominantly used in single and double pane windows and doors. It is made by flowing, soft glass being poured onto a bed on molten tin. The glass floats, spreads and cools to form an even smooth surface of sheet glass. The toughening process is carried out after it has been processed.

Approximate Lead times on this product :
Non toughened ( no processing ) - up to 5 working days
Toughened ( no processing ) - up to 7-10 working days
Processed ( toughened and non toughened, polished edges, holes, radius corners etc) - up to 10-15 working days
Sandblasting - Please allow up to 3 weeks

A Clear Film applied to the backing of the mirror to help keep the mirror together if it breaks. If you are fixing the mirror with adhesive, please check your adhesive is suitable to use with Safety Backing
For Single panels. The glass will be cut with the pattern in the centre of the glass
For Multiple Panels. Used with panels that are next to each other, so the pattern continues through all the panels. Please note we will require a drawing showing the layout of the panels
An easy clean coating that is applied to the glass that allows water to run off the glass. Most commonly used for shower screens
The minimum drilled hole diameter is 4mm and the maximum is 38mm. Drilled holes cannot be less than the glass thickness. Drilled holes are usually used for fixing holes in glass.
These are circular drilled holes, larger than 38mm. Usually used for Fans, Vents or pet flaps
Curved outer edge on corners. The higher the radius, the greater the curve
An internal section of the glass is cut out to accommodate plug sockets, pipework, hobs, etc.
